Week 10 – “The Client Did It Themselves”

Monday – The Call
Riverside Consulting called. Panicked.

“We reconfigured the whole network ourselves! Now nothing works!”
Josh gasped. Drew wept.

Tuesday – Site Visit
Minh, Yusuf, and Drew arrived to find:

  • A modem taped to a window.
  • Ethernet cables jammed into USB ports.
  • Wi-Fi labeled “Riverside_PRO_Network_DO_NOT_TOUCH” that no one could connect to.
    The client beamed. “We watched five tutorials.”

Wednesday – Fix Mode Activated
Drew carefully traced the mess. Minh silently rerouted everything. Yusuf replaced their power strips with his custom surge kit and declared: “It lives again.”
Client asked:

“Is it bad we had the router upside down?”

Thursday – Awareness Dawns
One senior partner pulled Drew aside.

“We thought we could handle it. We were wrong.”
Josh handed him a Kansas Tech magnet and said, “That’s growth.”

Friday – Contract Signed
They agreed to quarterly visits.
Yusuf added a folder to their system labeled: “No Touch Zone.”
Drew finally exhaled.
